Cleaning for Health Program
March 9, 2016

“Workplace absenteeism is costly to businesses and can restrain companies from reaching their full potential. Absences in the workplace are not beneficial for employees either. The employee missing work might not get paid or will have to play catch-up, while other employees pick up the slack around the absentee. Establish policies and educate your employees about the ramifications of excessive absenteeism.” – Linda Ray
Health & Safety Program Audit
Our Cleaning for Health program is a vital part of controlling disease outbreaks and reducing the spread of influenza in your commercial office. Our program uses ATP testing to make sure important cleaning points and transmission surfaces are receiving the proper amount of attention.
Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) Testing
According to Infection Control Today, “Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is an enzyme that is present in all living cells, and an ATP monitoring system can detect the amount of organic matter that remains after cleaning an environmental surface, a medical device or a surgical instrument. ATP-based sanitation monitoring systems detect and measure ATP on surfaces as a method of ensuring the effectiveness of facilities’ sanitation efforts. The amount of ATP detected, and where this ATP was detected, indicates areas and items in the facility that may need to be re-cleaned, and the possible need for improvement in a facility’s cleaning protocols.”
When, and if, readings fall below the required levels for adequate sanitization, we retrain staff members and perform an evaluation of the tools and disinfectants in use. Perhaps most importantly, our health and safety program has been shown to reduce absenteeism, which ultimately leads to increased productivity.
Regular evaluation is key to measuring the success of cleaning services. If you’re looking for an experienced team of consultants to help you improve the cleanliness of your commercial space, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 1-877-225-9603 today!
